1.Application scope
It is widely used in metallurgy, mine, petrochemical industry, architecture, coal, machine manufacturing, all kinds of transformer station and power distribution rooms with harmonic source, at the same time, it is also widely used in these power grids with non-linear, impact, and unbalanced loads to solve power quality questions.
2.Principle
The power wider controlled PWM converter and then input compensated current into power grid which is same with harmonic current, but with inverse polarity, and in the end, realized harmonic filter, dynamic reactive power compensation, resonance restraining and power factor enhancing.
3.Function features
Compensate any order harmonic with variational amplitude and frequency and different reactive power dynamically, and has a high-speed response time to the change of compensation object.
Compensate harmonic and reactive power synchronously, and realize stepless conversion for reactive power compensation.
Unnecessary for energy storage element when the Power Wiser implement reactive power compensation; Energy storage element capacity are not large when the Power Wiser implement harmonic compensation.
Even though the current of compensation object is a bit large, the power active filter will not overload, and implement compensation function normally.
It is very difficulty for Power Wiser to produce resonance with power grid impedance.
It can follow the change of power grid frequency, so compensation characteristic is not affected by power grid frequency
It can implement compensation on single harmonic and reactive power source and also implement centralized compensation on many harmonic and reactive power sources.
4. Usage mode
4.1 Parallel connection of active power filter
The Power Wiser is parallel connection with input power grid, and compensation current is generally provided by active power filter, it is the most useful mode at present.
4.2 Use active power filter with LC filter together
This mode is applied based on parallel connection of active power filter with power grid because of a shortage of parallel connection with large capacity. Its basic principle is that LC power filter can share in partial compensation work for active power filter. Compared with active power filter, LC power filter has a compact structure and low cost, while the advantage of active power filter rests with its excellent compensation performance. Combining LC filter and active power filter, not only overcome the shortage of parallel connection with large capacity and high cost, but also make the system acquire better performance.
There are two usage modes for mixed application of active power filter and LC filter, one is parallel connection, and the other is series connection.
